Why we are famous on Leros
It all started in 1962, when Grandpa Stamatis opened his small “Bakaliko” in Leros. From the beginning, the shop became known for its special selection of local products - from fine cold cuts and hams to carefully chosen cheeses and fresh vegetables. While many small groceries disappeared over time, our family shop stayed true to its roots. The passion for quality, good food, and personal service has been passed down through generations.
New generation in charge
In 2014, Grandpa Stamatis handed the shop over to us. It was both a big responsibility and a proud moment - and we’ve continued his legacy while adding our own touch. Today, we offer a mix of the best local and homemade products alongside selected international delicacies. Over the years, our family has grown - and now our three boys are part of the journey, sharing the same love for great food and unique flavours.
