A brilliant "retirement plan"
George has been part of Leros’ hospitality scene since 1991. For many years, he ran a well-known café and bar in Lakki, where locals and visitors came together - a place full of life, stories, and long summer evenings. As time passed and his two sons chose different paths, George began to think about slowing down. Running a busy bar had become demanding, and he was ready for a new chapter. At the same time, he saw how Leros was changing. More boats were arriving, new marinas were developing, and with them came a growing need for something simple but essential: ice. With only one supplier on the island, George recognised an opportunity - and decided to start producing ice professionally.
George's business today
Today, George brings the same dedication and reliability to his ice business as he did to his café. Born and raised on Leros, George cares deeply about the island and its people. He’s someone everyone knows - and someone everyone trusts.
